January is a very busy month, its long, cold, and very draining as it appears as though winter will never end. There is a certain restlessness that comes and begins to make you want to move and investigate and have adventures. Jackson in particular has been feeling this restlessness. He has grown tired of the confines of our little apartment, and wants to move beyond our little abode. Unfortunately he physically isn't able to, and some day soon it will dawn on him that he can move himself from point A to point B, instead of just trying to reach for it. Our solution to this is two-fold. First have him get out all his wiggles so he is so exhausted at the end of the day that he falls asleep. Example A is seen below: Snoozing soundly on Mom's chest.
Example B is us trying to wear him down by tag-teaming him, as we both vie for his attention. He doesn't look so amused.

Second we decided to get him a Johnny Jumper, in hopes that we would jump and whirl all his energy out.Jackson has also begun his stage where almost anything he can get his hands on he puts into his mouth. We fear it will only get worse. Here we are catching him in the act both on film and photo.
You can see his shock at being caught. Can't you just see the surprise in his eyes, and you know he is thinking, "What I thought I was all alone, I hope they don't put this on their blog!"

I love that smile of his on that first video!! And isn't it great that the only doorway that will work for the johny jumpers is our closet door??
I can't believe he is big enough to be in one of those! Time flies. He is sooooo cute.
