We had a wonderful time over the Christmas break with my family.  We spent some good time on the Oregon coast...Yes during the winter.  I thought we were a little crazy too, but it turned out to be wonderful!  Most of the family (minus Tysha, David and families, and Nana Kay) was able to make it.  It has been a long time since I have been home and it was fabulous.  I loved seeing the beautiful mountains, the wild life that seems to just wander through the back yard (Jared was so mad he missed a picture of a bald eagle that flew right over us), old friends, the cousins playing with such enthusiasm together, the beautifully dangerous waters of the Oregon coast...loved how easy it was to find GF food and especially laughing it up with the family.

One of my favorite evenings with the family was when we all took a moment to listen to Taylor and his reasons for being in the military.  He now is in Afghanistan.  My sister is taking care of two kids and pregnant with her third.  We all went around telling them both how proud we are of their sacrifices!!  Dry eyes were not found among the group that night!

Here are a few pictures of the trip....more to come.

Jack named this seagull Webby and they loved feeding him cereal.

Madison off discovering as usual.

This might look like a delightful place to relax...especially after a nice swim in the ocean...if you only knew that is was in the high 50's and the water was FREEZING...you might change your mind (not Bryan)!

Madison and Jackson LOVED playing in the waves even though it was so cold.  Madison ate some good sand on this fall.
